Ferrari 400i Service

Revival & Sale Preparation Underway

We’re excited to share the next addition to our service archives — a classic 1984 Ferrari 400i that has just come out of storage and is now undergoing preparation for sale.

The Ferrari 400i represents a unique era in Maranello’s history. With its V12 grand touring pedigree, elegant Pininfarina styling, and understated presence, it’s a car that blends performance and sophistication in a way only Ferrari could in the 1980s. Bringing one back to proper condition is something we take seriously — and this example is already well on its way.

Initial Inspection & Full Mechanical Check-Over

After an extended period in storage, the first step is always a comprehensive evaluation. Our team is performing a full mechanical inspection to assess the condition of major systems, identify age-related wear, and ensure everything meets our standards before it heads to its next owner.

This includes:

  • Full engine and driveline inspection

  • Fluid checks and replacements as needed

  • Fuel system evaluation

  • Brake system inspection

  • Electrical system testing

  • Cooling system review

With any classic Ferrari, attention to detail is everything — and we are methodically going through the car front to back.

Front & Rear Suspension Overhaul

One of the primary areas needing attention is the suspension system. As expected from a vehicle that has been sitting, many of the bushings have deteriorated significantly.

We are currently completing:

  • Full front suspension refresh

  • Full rear suspension refresh

  • Replacement of worn and destroyed bushings

  • Inspection of control arms, mounts, and associated components

Proper suspension work is critical not just for ride quality, but for restoring the composed grand touring character the 400i was designed to deliver.

Interior Restoration & Detailing

The interior will also receive attention to bring it back to proper presentation. Time in storage can affect leather, trim pieces, and smaller interior components, so we’ll be addressing:

  • Interior cosmetic improvements

  • Conditioning and restoration where needed

  • Full interior detailing

Our goal is to preserve originality while ensuring the cabin feels worthy of a Ferrari V12 grand tourer.

Full Cosmetic Clean-Up

To complete the process, the car will undergo a thorough exterior and underbody clean-up. This includes:

  • Full exterior detail

  • Engine bay clean-up

  • Undercarriage inspection and presentation

Presentation matters — especially for a collector-grade Ferrari — and we want this 400i to represent itself proudly.

We are very excited to bring this 1984 Ferrari 400i back to proper condition and prepare it for its next caretaker. Classic V12 Ferraris deserve careful stewardship, and we’re looking forward to sharing the progress as the project moves forward.

Stay tuned to hear more about this project.
